The Soul Mirror, by Mihaela Cosma
From the series Not Everyone Sees the Same Cat
Passersby are catching a glimpse of a woman holding a kitty… How strange, they think, for this elegant mysterious woman to waste her time with a vagabond cat… But the woman and the cat know what no one else does. They even look alike, a deceiving combination of grace and fragility, as both the woman and the kitty are powerful old souls.
Ignoring everyone, the woman and the kitty are looking into each other’s eyes with trust and delight, capturing each other’s thoughts instantly, before any words or any meow would break the silence of the blue night. Just a soft, content purr now and then, which seemed to make the moon itself glitter on a tune.
“Wise woman, you did good picking me up. Cause you see, I chose you… I came to you in this dark alley lit by the moon as a little kitty, but I am your soul’s mirror. Your soul itself drew me onto you, so we can grow together into eternity. Take me home with you, take care of me, so I can protect your energy and your house.”
What will the woman do, the moon is wondering.
